Google It

The other day, my 80-year-old grandmother-in-law came to me holding a prescription.

She asked,  “Can you tell me what this medicine is for?”

I said, “How would I know? I’m not a doctor.”

She looked at me, completely unfazed, and said, “Google it.”

I laughed because that’s exactly what my 8-year-old says to me when I ask him anything these days.

An 8-year-old and an 80-year-old, both trusting technology, both refusing to be stuck, both expecting answers now.

We often think of change as something only the young embrace.

But the truth is, the human spirit, when sparked by curiosity, adapts, learns, and evolves at any age.

Curiosity doesn’t come with an age limit. And neither does adaptability.

Curiosity connects us, whether we’re 8 or 80.
