Have you eaten Pringles?

That tall red can that makes a “pop!” sound when you open it, and once you start eating, you just can’t stop?

Well, that famous can wasn’t always loved.

In fact, when Pringles first launched, people thought it was a weird idea. “Chips in a can? Who needs that?” they laughed.

But a clever scientist named Fredric Baur saw something others didn’t.

You see, he hated how chips in bags would break into tiny crumbs before they even reached your plate. And those greasy fingers after snacking? Ugh, no thank you!

So Fredric started tinkering. He tested, shaped, and reshaped until he found the perfect design — a curvy saddle-shaped chip that could stack neatly, one on top of another.

Then, he built a special can to keep them fresh and unbroken.

People weren’t sure at first... but then they tasted it. Crunchy. Neat. Fun to eat. And suddenly, boom! Pringles became a global favourite.

And guess what? Fredric loved his invention so much that when he passed away, his family honoured his wish; part of his ashes were buried in a Pringles can.

Talk about true dedication!
